Roscommon go into this game with a Mayo side who have been less than their best at points this season as considerable underdogs, but that won’t phase Kevin McStay’s side.
Mayo, however, are favourites for a reason. They’ll be expected to use their experience in big Croke Park knock-out games to ultimately finish off the plucky Roscommon side who have been very impressive this year.
Indeed, Roscommon have been a bit of a surprise package this year, but they raised many eyebrows when they dismantled a Galway challenge in this year’s Connacht Final.
The Rossies will hope that all their recent underage success will finally make an impact on the big stage however, Mayo seem to come to life once they reach Croke Park.
It will be interesting to see how much last weekend’s epic encounter with Cork – that went to extra-time – has taken out of the Westerners legs.
It will be an intriguing meeting at GAA HQ and you can follow all the action here on our Irish Mirror Sport live blog.
